Richard Falle was born in Colchester (England) in 1974 and spent his formative years living on the Channel Island of Jersey. He left Jersey to undertake a fine art printmaking degree at the University of Wales Institute Cardiff. The degree course afforded him the opportunity to spend six months at Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design (Vancouver), as part of a student exchange program. It was during this time he began to use computers to generate artwork for printmaking. After completing an undergraduate degree he went on to study printmaking for a further two years at the Royal College of Art (London), graduating in 1998. Since then he has worked in the print industry as a graphic designer, in the theatre and in higher education. Currently he works as a senior technical instructor at the University of the West of England.
